Who We Are
We are a 100% volunteer foundation with no paid staff that’s very active in the community. We help organize grants to try to preserve and/or restore historic structures around Weber County.
The Foundation was founded in 1978 by citizens concerned about the loss of so many of Ogden's historic structures and wanting to engage the community in the county's great history.
We're an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit foundation. Our mission is to increase public awareness of Utah's historic and architectural legacy. To assist and support the intelligent preservation of important elements of Utah's architectural heritage and to protect that legacy by encouraging new development of quality planning an design. To encourage public policies and decisions which promote the recognition, preservation, and enhancement of Utah's special character. In the past, we have been able to help with the restoration of important projects such as the Egyptian Theater, Ogden High School, The Ogden Cemetery Gold Star Avenue, and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneer Museum in Ogden.
